Lerario Beatriz
Born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Ana Lerario moved to New York to study at Parsons where she eventually became a head designer, working directly with Mr. Jacobs. She left to open Fiftytwo Showroom whose aim was "to celebrate the designer and nurture new collections, to understand designers as creative individuals, not just pieces on a rack". Her own collection, Lerario Beatriz, was launched in 2005. Her detailing includes beautiful fluid fabrics, wooden beading, handmade ceramic buttons, and intricate crochet. Produced in Brazil, the line is intended to fill a gap in the ready-to-wear market: beautifully done clothes with couture touches that are also feminine and approachable with a romantic edginess.
